Recently, Chris Zylka was congratulated by a tweet from a friend of his for joining the cast of Marc Webb’s Spider-Man reboot, according to /Film. Although still speculation, it has been said Zylka will play the role of Eugene Thompson in the much anticipated 3D film.
According to Wikipedia, Flash Thompson is:
“a star high school football player and classmate of Peter Parker (secretly the superhero Spider-Man) who mercilessly bullies “Puny Parker.” On the other hand, Flash greatly admires Spider-Man, an irony in which Parker takes some gratification.
After graduation, Flash joins the United States Army and is haunted by his combat experiences, leading to alcoholism. Later on in the series, Flash and Peter become friends.”
If this news is not just speculation and ultimately true, Chris Zylka will be joining the already much hyped cast for the new film. The cast includes Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker and Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Rhys Ifans as the Lizard, Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben, Sally Field as Aunt May, and Denis Leary as Gwen Stacy’s father.
Zylka has been seen with roles in Hannah Montana, Everybody Hates Chris, Cougar Town, and the Gregg Araki movie Kaboom, just to name a few.
