It has been a while since we’ve seen a new album from the Foo Fighters. In fact, there last album was ‘Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace’ back in 2007. After the release of the album, the band went on a little hiatus. Now it seems as if they’re back in the studio, working on an album which frontman Dave Grohl is calling ‘awesome’.
Krist Novoselic, the bassist from Grohl’s old band, Nirvana, will help out with the new album and Butch Vig, who produced Nirvana’s classic album, Nevermind, will act as producer on the new Foo Fighters album.
Grohl talked about the album in a recent interview and said the following:
“I know the record and I can’t wait ’til everyone else hears it. Foo Fighter fans are going to freak out because honestly, it’s awesome. Basically 2011 you’re not gonna be able to get us out of your hair, that’s what we’re planning,”
This is great news for Foo Fighters fans. It has been too long since the band has put out a new album. ‘Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace’ had some great tracks and I’ve always been a big Foo Fighters fan. I can’t wait to hear what the band has been up to.
